Hey gals. I'm currently on holiday and had some light brown spotting with some mild cramps. I'm 13+4 and feeling anxious so I booked a scan, scan showed healthy active baby however radiologist showed me that part of the placenta had detached from the uterine wall.
Radiologist could offer no advice and due to language barrier I walked away feeling very worried and confused.
His report states the following :
The placenta fundal and anterior low lying with suspected crescent avascular, low echogenicity area between the placenta and uterine wall consistent likely with reteoplancental hematoma.
Can anyone help understand this? I have hours before I can contact the pregnancy triage at home and need some reassurance or help decoding this report!
Thanks xx
