Hi everyone I’m really craving some Chinese salt and chilli chips but not sure if I can have them..

Jellybelly888 · 29/09/2024 19:58

Why wouldn’t you be allowed them?

Scutterbug · 29/09/2024 19:59

Yes of course x

meringue33 · 29/09/2024 19:59

What do you think Chinese mums do 😜

FrankTurnersCat · 29/09/2024 20:00

What do you think the Chinese eat when pregnant? Good grief.

Auntieobem · 29/09/2024 20:00

Why wouldn't you be able to?? What do you think pregnant Chinese women eat? (possibly not salt and chilli chips but you get the point)

Allmarbleslost · 29/09/2024 20:01

Why would you think you can't?

Unrealnotunrealistic · 29/09/2024 20:09

1.412 billion people do, I’m sure you’re safe to join them?

MakeMeATea · 29/09/2024 20:13

They're chips.. Why wouldn't you be able to eat chips?
Go on nhs list of foods you can't eat while pregnant.

Oblomov24 · 29/09/2024 20:24

Eh? Why on earth would you not? This is silly.

sel2223 · 29/09/2024 20:31

Of course you can

and... guess what.... you can have Indian food too, and Thai, and probably 99% of every other kind of food you can think of

I think you're all being a bit harsh. Maybe the OP is worried about the potential effects of MSG or general food safety (hygiene) if planning to have a Chinese takeaway, not Chinese food in the wider sense...

Neither of which are advised against so it's still a bizarre thing to ask about.

Agreed. 👍🏼

I seem to remember having to avoid bean sprouts when pregnant but I still ate other Chinese food

Screamingabdabz · 30/09/2024 00:07

Apparently that’s what Gwynneth Paltrow ate when she was preggers. I read it somewhere and remember it because she was skinny-girl terrified it would make her fat. 🙄

Peonies12 · 30/09/2024 08:31

Of course. Honestly shocks me what people worry about in pregnancy.
