Sorry for long post !!!

Hello mommas, I’m new here
me and my partner have been ttc for years now and have had absolutely no luck. I could have bought a house with the amount I spent on tests, cheap sticks and the expensive stuff.

I normally have a 29-32 day cycle. I’m now on my 39th day and was due my period 5 days ago (according to my FLO app)

Ive had nausea, sudden headaches and dizziness, sleeping a lot (4 naps in a day and still sleeping at night) going to the toilet way more - at least 5-6 times a day & last but not least… cramps . I had a tiny bit of blood dotted on my undies and a little trace when I wiped last night but nothing since.

I took a test this afternoon at 1pm and received this result. It came up almost immediately ( test said wait 5 mins to read results but couldn’t help myself watching the liquid climb its way up)

I’ll attach a pic below however the quality is disgraceful.

I can see a faint line too. I’d do another test first thing tomorrow x

Looks positive to me!

Thankyou !! This gives me hope. Is it normal for me to have such a long cycle and still be that faint on a test?? The only thing throwing me off is the fact that it’s barely visible x

Normally if 5 days late then the line should be darker but it may be that you ovulated late this month and that this cycle was longer than normal.
Good luck

My line at the doctors was so faint, I was informed that I was not pregnant, and that it was something called a "chemical" result.

Yeah, so that turned out to be my twins.

I did think I ovulated late as normally I’d get ovulation pain but this cycle the pain happened a week later so I very may well have but that worries me a lot as I’ve read on so many mum pages that the chances of a viable pregnancy with late ovulation is low 😢😢😢

Oh gosh you’re strong 😭👏 I don’t know what I’d do if I found myself with twins. But thankyou for giving me hope that even docs can we wrong

Late ovulation doesn’t mean low chance of pregnancy if it’s just late - you still have the same amount of days before your period, your period will just be delayed. I think you are getting confused with having a short luteal phase (the number of days after you ovulate before you get your period). There’s less chance of pregnancy with luteal phases that are 10 days or less.
Good luck! I can’t see anything yet but doesn’t mean you are out at all. If you ovulated a week late then you wouldn’t get a positive test until your period, which would be delayed by a week too (usually 2 weeks from when you ovulated)

Yes, I was coming on to say exactly this!

It doesn't matter if you ovulate late and your cycle is longer because of it OP. I ovulated about 10 days late the cycle I got pregnant (I'm now 14 weeks)

jellyfish2 · 30/09/2024 17:16

@TTCmomma I came on to say the same as PP. I ovulated 11 days later than I usually do (CD30!!) and I'm 16 weeks pregnant so that's not true.
Did you take a test today?

TTCmomma · 01/10/2024 22:13

Just a little update, I’ve tested and tested and tested again and got a faint line on a stick and then negatives again. It’s like it’s playing with me. My period still hasn’t came. FLO says I’m 7 days late however, I do think I ovulated late as I checked my app and logged my cramping that I experienced that day… today I felt a gush down below and thought it was my period.. checked and it was just very very thin clear discharge- basically water. That almost covered my complete pant line. I’ve had on and off cramps and the Same symptoms such as dizziness, nausea & fatigue.

Its definitely a very small change I AM indeed preg since I would have got stronger lines but its not over until AF arrives!!!
