Head pain

Hi so I'm 20 weeks pregnant and have an awful pain on left hand side of my head. I wouldn't describe it as a headache as such it is just a constant throbbing pain. Has anyone else experienced this at all? Thank you

Have you tried the usual tricks to get rid of it? Drinking lots of water, a nap, paracetamol (not ibuprofen)? Could you have slept funny and it's actually muscular?

@Springadorable I have, paracetamol haven't touched it and been drinking water all day. It's a really weird pain to describe, it's like a headache but so so painful and throbs. Not had anything like it before

It sounds like the sort of thing that the internet will tell you to go to a and e for, but you'll be sat there for hours. So I guess it depends how bad it gets. Hope you feel better soon x

Call 111. You should at least have your blood pressure checked and urine tested. Yes 20 weeks is early, but it is important to make sure there is nothing serious going on.

Thank you. I've contacted midwife and said to ring unit to have blood pressure taken as I was put on aspirin for high risk of getting pre eclampsia. On way up there now
