I know this is more for the postpartum threads but they don't seem to get much traffic, baby is two weeks old tomorrow, normal straight forward birth and bleeding has been surprisingly light. I was sat on the sofa and when I stood up I felt a gush, went to the bathroom and on the soaked pad there was a large sort of clump of tissue, definitely not a normal blood clot and about the size of a large expanded tampon (sorry can't think of anything else to compare it to). I've spoken to midwife who said as it's a one off it should be fine, just monitor bleeding and how I'm feeling and let them know if it happens again. I trust them but I'm abit worried about retained placenta or something. DH googled it and said it sounds like a placental scab and told me off for doing too much but I don't ever remember passing anything like it after having my other kids. Has anyone else had this?
