Rubbish, the only thing is she might not get a good scan picture as after a while they are too big to fit the whole baby in. Receptionist is being a cow

where do they find med receptionist? more than that at 24 weeks plus at some places they run checks on placenta to see if issues like restricted growth or blood pressure/blood flow issues may need management later on.

Well - the anomaly scan can lead to discussion of what to do if the results suggest the baby has a life limiting illness or soem form of congenital problem.

In those cases termination may be offered - and after 24 weeks this is less likely?

Reason for this is that at 24 weeks the bones are denser and can cause more shadowing. Also, as the baby is bigger it can be more difficult to get the views needed. Even so i'm sure the sonographer would do their best to complete the scan. Its just not the ideal time to do it!

I had my anomaly scan on 20 weeks but have been asked to go back at 24 weeks to check one measurement so it's obviously more than possible to do this.

There is no legal limit of when you can terminate for abnormality. She just didn't want to clog up her busy clinic - silly woman.

I had a scan on my due date for my last baby, I didn't have a clue what they were looking at on screen as baby was so big but sonographer managed to see everything they needed to.
