37 weeks and I was pushing something away with my left leg when suddenly I felt what can only be described as a popping. It felt like it was in the left hand side of the vaginal wall rather than anywhere else. No show or waters since but have been unable to walk without pain down there since. It feels OK if I rest but walking is REALLY painful.

What is there that I could have damaged???

Any Ideas?

Your pelvis maybe or a trapped nerve? Just guessing.

I'd say it sounds like your pelvis too.

Hope you're not in too much pain.

This sounds pretty much exactly what has happened to me. I have terrible pain when walking, right at the front of the pubic bone around the vaginal area. I think it might be SPD related. I know I have uneven leg lengths and my pelvis is obviously misaligned. If you can afford it, I'd recommend a visceral/classical osteopath or if money is tight you could get a swift referral to an obstetric physio who can normally pop the socket back into place. I'm seeing both this week!

Phone your midwife, tell her that you have acute pelvic pain and ask if she can refer you to physio.

My sacroliliac joints (seat bones) popped out but the physio has put them back in - my physio is checking me every fortnight until the birth (only 5 more weeks) so she can ensure I can walk without pain.

Sharp, stabby pains at the front of pelvis is the nerve/gristly bit giving way so your pelvis opens up for the head & shoulders to pass through. If you've forced that to happen quicker than it would have done, then plenty of rest and warm baths will help.
