Pins and needles

I am 6 weeks and have been waking up with pins and needles in my hand & lower arm. Has anyone else had this?
The thing that is slightly worrying me is that this is something that normally happens to me in the lead up to my period!

In almost 14 weeks now and still get the sensation occasionally but not as much

Yes but later in pregnancy. It's likely carpal tunnel and worth getting splints to use at night. Try and keep wrists in a 'naturally straight' position when resting. Mention it to midwife or GP also, it can get worse (mine did) but will highly likely go when baby is born. Prevention with a splint is better than cure I found.
Look out for any swelling in hands/wrists and excessive itching though - call GP immediately if so.
