Good afternoon, I’m just looking for a bit of advice and to see if anybody has any previous experience in this.
I had a positive pregnancy test on the 17th of September, my last menstrual period being the 20th of August.
Had a scan in EPU, as they requested me to attend due to previous losses. Scan showed a gestational sac and yolk sac, measuring 5w0d. 3 days later I attended a private scan as I was in disbelief, and my period was the average length and heaviness. Private scan showed 5w3d.

HCG tests done last week were 160 and then 300, ALMOST doubling 48 hours later. Does anybody have any experience in measuring a week ahead in such an early stage of pregnancy?

Early pregnancy inconclusive dates

Measurements are very hit and miss in terms of accuracy at this stage, don't read too much into it. A fraction of a mm can change you by a few days. It's all a bit irrelevant to be honest. Try to relax as best you can. There isn't much value in scans before 8 weeks unless it is suspected something serious is wrong eg severe pain, heavy bleeding.

I was going to echo the above. We had IVF and the scan dates still put us ahead of where we should be based on the embryo transfer etc!
