I know these aren't the most reliable of tools, but this has got me and DH so confused.
My LMP (or what I thought was my last LMP) started 22 August. It was fairly unextraordinary except for the fact it was quite on again/off again after day two which is usual for me although I didn't think anything of it at the time.
I was due again on 20 September - cycles are usually 28/29 days long.
TMI warning - for various reasons we didn't do the deed until 12 September this month (not actively trying, but would like a 2nd at some point) so I thought I had missed the boat entirely and wasn't bothered about this month. I had experienced the usual (or so I thought) ovulation bloat about a week before then.
Got a big shock on 21 September when no period came - only dizziness, headache and nausea - and I took a normal test with a very dark positive line. I followed up the next day with a digi that said I was 3+ weeks.
I can't have conceived on the 12 September right? Unless my HCG levels have risen really sharply.
What do you think?
Could I have conceived the month before and had a mystery bleed when my period was due? Putting me around 8-9 weeks.
Or is it possible that I ovulated much later than expected (around day 22 of a 28/29 day cycle) and I just have high HCG levels?
I have booked a private early reassurance scan because the midwives won't see me until I'm 8 weeks - but I could already be 8 weeks!
