Not well and due

I'm due to be induced on Wednesday but I'm really not well.
I have stomach issues such as diarrhoea and lots of gas, cramps and gurgling (sorry)
Also not really able to leave the house as when I need to go I need to go now.
Also sulphur burps which is horrible.
The thought of giving birth while feeling like this is awful, I don't know if I have the energy, I just want to sleep.
It could be a stomach bug or something.
Should I still go in for induction?
Should I contact the hospital/midwife or am I just feeling sorry for myself and I'll be fine?
I'm being induced at 39 weeks because I'm 41.

I'd contact the hospital/midwife. but also consider whether an induction is necessary and really what you want, if it's only your age that is a factor, and baby is doing well. Post-term pregnancy and induction of labour resources - Dr Sara Wickham

You might find this is the start of a natural birth? Mine started with an upset stomach. Just a thought but yes to contacting midwife

I had this just before going into Labour. Xx

SpookyX · 23/09/2024 20:48

Sounds like the start of labour?

Readytoevolve · 23/09/2024 20:50

See what the night brings, it could very well be the start. You’ll find the energy for birth don’t worry about that

FS90 · 23/09/2024 20:53

This sounds like you might be going into labour naturally. This is exactly what happened to me both times!

FS90 · 23/09/2024 20:53

How far along are you OP?

PassMeTheCookies · 23/09/2024 21:49
