Having a little panic, I've got two children already, 7 and 5. Happily done and can barely manage them as they absolutely hate eachother but that's besides the point.
We downsized, own our house that does no have a spare room. Hubby retired. Both absolutely wanted no more children. And now I'm pregnant because idiot here apparently can't keep track of her fertile days and I don't want to to have to pass my body over to another baby, I'm only just feeling like myself with time to do things now the kids are getting bigger and more independent and ugggh
Long story short. I absolutely need some reassurance from those who may have had a surprise 3rd when they absolutely had no intentions of wanting another....and no space...and in a rough spot with the spouse .... ugghhhhhh
Will it all be okay? I mean I know if will but I need the nitty gritty of its was hard x,y,z and now it's the best tjing and we're all happy.... thank you!

I've only the experience as a sibling.
I'm one of three and the third was a surprise. Our age gaps are 4 and 11. We grew up in a 3 bed semi with the 3rd being a poky 6ft x 6ft box room. Two of us shared what would be the master and my parents took the middle sized room. Over the years we all had time in the small room.

Number 3 was a twin pregnancy but my mum miscarried the second baby. Had both stuck my parents would have had to move. They upgraded from an escort to a Mondeo sized car when we were small. Finances were tight when we were young because of the high interest rates in the early 90s but by the time I was in my teens we were relatively comfortable. My parents were able to support us all through university or equivalent courses. We are all really close now. My dad is 1 of 5 and the fifth was a surprise when my nan was mid40s. She was only a couple of years older than me so she joined in with the 3 of us too.

We missed out on holidays abroad but we all have fond memories of holidays in the UK. My parents may have made different decisions if they had only two of us but I wouldn't say my life was worse because of my younger sibling. Different absolutely! My parents made the best of it. My dad did have a vasectomy soon after she was born though!
