Hi all as per title... I had this for 11 days then went to the doctors, who then prescribed me with antibiotics for 10days. I'm now on day 7 of taking the antibiotics as left it a couple of days after appointment as was advised to see of it shifts without taking them.. anyway it's still there niggling on the left side I will finish the course and go back if it hadn't subsided. In the meantime wanted to see of anyone else has had something similar?
To add I generally feel all OK in myself it's just this left side of throat x**

Have you got your wisdom teeth?

I had a one-sided sore throat twice and it turned out to be a bit of tartar impaction around my wisdom tooth. First time, the dentist gave the tooth a good clean which sorted it. Second time, I cleaned it myself with a lot of flossing, brushing and mouthwash (I mean scrubbing away at it in various ways several times a day) and it went away. I had the tooth removed after that.

I had a quinsy on my tonsils once. I think they normally go away with antibiotics but I know someone who had one and it kept coming back. That's pain when you swallow. If it could be that, go back to your GP.

Silent reflux? Is it on the same side you lay on to sleep? Just a guess.
