41+ weeks - experiences

Hi all,

FTM here. Two failed sweeps so far (40+2, 40+6) - cervix posterior and closed. 41 weeks today. If this was also your experience how did your little one enter the world? Did you need to be induced or did labour happen spontaneously for you?

After a failed sweep, I was induced with my first at 41+6. All went well and no problems at all. Was about to be induced at 41+3 with my second but she came the day before. Both very similar deliveries despite one being induced. Wishing you all the best x

My labour with my youngest started 41w in the evening , I was just about to go to bed ... she was then born by 3am 41+1

I had been induced at 38 weeks with my first so I didn't know what to expect for a natural starting labour

I think I had 3 sweeps with my first, went into labour eventually at 41+2

With DC2 I was offered induction to be booked from 41 weeks. I declined and settled on 41+5 as when I'd be happy to have it. As it is, labour began at 41+3 and DC2 was born on 41+5.

I had two unsuccessful sweeps with my first and then went into labour spontaneously at 31+5 and she was born the following day.
