I’m almost 9 weeks and having on and off anxiety about having a miscarriage. I had an early pregnancy scan 2 weeks ago which confirmed a healthy viable pregnancy and I felt so happy and positive. Now I’m back to catrasophising again. Just got my 12 week scan booked in also. Would the chances of me having a miscarriage be slim at this point? It’s my first one so understandably I’m anxious about something going wrong. Anyone any advice? My sleep pattern has been up the left but I think it’s more to do with changes in my body. I’m finding myself wanting to go to bed at like 8pm

When I was in early pregnancy I found this chart quite reassuring: https://datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer

It gives you the odds and you can see day by day the risk of miscarriage decreasing.

Anxiety in pregnancy especially early is really difficult, I used the above chart aswell.
someone once told me you’ve no reason to believe that this isn’t a healthy pregnancy and that was what I tried to keep thinking x

Early pregnancy is really hard, huge sympathy. Most miscarriages occur between weeks 6 and 8 but the fact you saw a heartbeat with good measurements at 7 weeks is definitely positive. Try to focus on 'today I'm pregnant' and just get through it day by day. It does feel like eternity but the scan date will arrive eventually. I also found it helpful to reassure myself that there is basically nothing either I or healthcare professionals can do to change the outcome, and what will be will be. Try to keep busy, get out and about as much as possible to distract yourself and help your well-being. Sending solidarity and hope your scan goes well in a few weeks time.
