Vomitting at 4 weeks pregnant

Hi,

Just found out I'm pregnant a few days ago. Today I really struggled at work from 4pm onwards with terrible nausea. On my way home I was feeling dreadful, so much so that I had to leave the bus unexpectedly one stop earlier and as soon as I got out I vomited really badly (sorry tmi, luckily it was dark and if anyone saw me, they ignored me!)
I know all the theory about pregnancy and that this is a normal symptom, but I didn't experience this with my DD1 so early on, just some nausea at around 6-9 weeks. Anyone experienced this at just 4 weeks?

Oh yes. All day, really. Eat little and often.

I started vomiting from 3+6...unfortunately had HG 🙈

Yes, even earlier, and I had hyperemesis unfortunately. Seek support and medication asap if it gets worse. The earlier it’s treated the better. Pregnancy sickness support charity is a great support

Thanks! I really hope it's not HG... but got home and had another sickness episode. I have a lovely dinner ready but I can't stomach it, just trying to eat small bites of banana...

My gran had 3 children with zero sickness. Then a 9 year gap and had my youngest uncle and was sick for most of it. Every pregnancy is a universe in itself.

I had nausea 4 days before my missed period, which prompted me to take a test. I had it for all 3 trimesters. I spoke to my doctor and they prescribed me some anti sickness tablets which I took 3 times a day. Congratulations on your pregnancy :) hopefully it settles down, if not, I'd speak to your GP.

Op I started vomitting at 4 weeks and vomitted 3 times a day upwards until 10 weeks by which point I was holding no food down and ended up on cyclizine which has thankfully stopped the vomitting although I still have some nausea.

My advice would be that if it gets really bad, reach out to your gp as I wish I had sooner.

There is apparently a slightly higher rate of severe early sickness if you are carrying a girl …..so it may be that if you had a boy the first time! Oops edited as you had a dd the first time I notice!

Yep.

Admitted at 7 weeks with severe vomiting and HG diagnosed.

I had twins.

Thank you everyone. At least I'm not the only one... I was concerned it was this early. I was sick for hours yesterday, and then it just went away and could finally sleep... until toddler woke up and screamed for 1.5h 🤪
