Could I be pregnant

Hi ladies,
My partner and I had unprotected sex on the 23rd Feb of this year but he'd had the snip over a year ago so we thought it was safe. The last few weeks I've had sore breaststroke and felt sick. Today I've noticed a small drop of milk leak from my breast. My youngest child is 2 so wouldn't be milk from a previous pregnancy. If I was pregnant I'd be around 30 weeks. I have no bump and other symptoms other then sore breasts and that one drop of milk. Could I be pregnant and not have known all this time

have you taken a test?

Laurens96 · 20/09/2024 08:09

I took one Monday morning that was negative

I would say if you are as far along as 30 weeks there's no way you would get a negative test so it's unlikely op

I just couldn't think what else could cause the sick feeling and sore boobs all of a sudden. And my boobs are definitely leaking a white discharge that may be milk if I squeeze (sorry if tmi)

Breast change needs a Dr look at them.

Even if you are pregnant you wouldn't be leaking milk yet unless you were still actively breastfeeding from a previous pregnancy

I didn't breast feed at all with my last baby as they didn't take to it so they had formula

No OP you’re not 30 weeks pregnant if you had a negative pregnancy test

I had a friend tell me you could be too far along to get a positive due to hormone levels being too high with made me feel a bit worried I might be due to the tender breasts and breast discharge being a milky colour

I did a test the day I went to be induced just for fun, huge big positive.

Breast change needs a Dr look at them.

This for sure. Please call the doctor and book an appointment to see them.

Have you had periods since February? Obviously surprise pregnancies do happen and are found out late on, but as you've been pregnant before you would know I'm sure.

I had a period as normal each month since. I did start the pill again in May to help with cramps and help with periods being quite heavy too

I know two people who didn't find out they were expecting until 20odd weeks both had taken multiple pregnancy tests and had been negative and only turned positive after they had positive tests at the drs!
The body can be weird! Given you started the pill for gynae issues I would be going back to the Dr with these new symptoms so they have the full picture and go from there.

The breast discharge needs to be checked out, you're unlikely to be pregnant but should get checked out anyway
