Am I having a ectopic pregnancy

Hi so I’m actually really worried as I had a miscarriage two years ago. I’ve had irregular cycle always. This month on my tracker it showed I was supposed to start on the 11th but my periods are always not on track with the period tracker. Anyway I didn’t start that day and my tracker was showing I’m six days late. One the 17th so that’s the 7th day, I thought I started my period as I every time I wiped I saw brownish blood. And that whole day I had intense pain on my lower right of the tummy and back and on my right thigh too, causing me to physically shake because of the pain.

Now I do get really bad period pains so it didn’t seem worrying at the time. The pain lasted one whole day but the brownish blood reduced throughout the day and lasted 2 day with it just being light brown every time I wiped until it stopped.

This was strange to me as I always have a 5-8 day period. So I thought I’ll take a pregnancy test. On 19th I took 3 and all 3 were positive. So now im thinking if I’m having a ectopic pregnancy. Currently I have no bleeding or brown spotting and no pains. Apart from feeling nauseous all the time. I’m just really scared right now and will be contacting my gp today but I just want to hear what everyone else thinks.

I would contact your Early Pregnancy Unit not your Gp. In my area we can self refer.

Hey @1404nay hope you’re doing ok! I’ve previously had an ectopic and the pain was so consuming I also was shaking! My pain completely cleared up however it was confirmed ectopic as I ended up in A&E during the painful episode. Please contact your local EPU! Early diagnosis can be so helpful with treatment. Really hope it’s not ectopic though and you have a healthy pregnancy! Sending love!

Thank you witmum and Jhun11. I’m actually feeling fine now so I’m not sure what to make of it but I’ve been booked in with the emergency gyno unit on Monday. So I guess I will find out then but I’m really hoping it’s not what I’m fearing.
