Hi all. Was anyone with precious c sections advised not to have any more due to scar tissue / adhesions etc and proceed for it to turn out ok? I’ve had 3. My consultant wants me to get coil until inevitable hysterectomy due to history of endometriosis and adenomyosis but I just hate the thought of the door being closed shut on no more babies. (I’m very grateful to have the 3 I have of course, just wondering re others experiences)
Scar tissue has always been an issue … would one more really be much difference?

I'm interested to hear replies as I've had 2 c sections with nothing said so far about no more kids.

A friend had 3 and was advised not to have any more as her uterine scar appeared thin when the surgeon did the last section.

I've had 5 c sections. Was just told after the 3rd one that " needs to be c sections from now on "

I stopped at 5 though.

No issues then or since with scar tissue

Could you speak with your consultant who knows you and your surgical history well?

I’ve only had one EMCS so far, but when discussing my hopes for more children (ideally I’d like four) with my IVF doctor, he was very concerned at the idea of four caesareans. This was despite the fact I recovered fairly well in the sense that my scar has healed well on the inside and out, and I didn’t have any infections in it.

Have you had any operations to treat your endo as this can leave scar tissue too?
