My hospital bag seems suspiciously small! WHat have I forgotten?

With dd I took a huugggee suitcase with me as well as a seperate one for her. I have had a frantic day of tidying and getitng prepared (don't know why, I am 34 weeks today, it just seems so urgent all of a sudden) and my living room is now sparkling and dd has helped me to make room for the baby things We have just packed out bags (hers is mainly full of all the dinosaurs she might need ) and my bag just seems so small. I have 3 big packs of pads, some breast pads, t shirt to wear in labour, as well as tankini top in case I want to get into the pool, enormous M & S granny pants, arnica and lansinoh. My nightie for hospital is in the wash, as are my socks. I suppose I have packed light as I would like to get home quite soon afterwards, but can you think of anything obvious I have missed? Also, does early nesting mean early baby ? Dd was 11 days late, and I am impatient already!

love the list-especially the jug, flipflops and antiseptic wipes, none of which would have occured to me. I hate using the showers when we go camping (takes me back to being at school) so always wear flipflops then too. Great tip!

I must have about 8 vests packed for the baby - maybe I have gone overboard....I seem to remember a lot of explosive poo.....

PS Isn't it awful that we are having to take antiseptic wipes to clean the bathrooms and wear our flip flops in there!!! However absolutely necessary IMO

Ohh, thanks for the list Broccoli! Very helpful

Moist toilet tissue, I used loads of it and it was very cooling on my bits. Only don't make it your usual brand/one you like. I bought loads of packs on bogof, still using them now and they take me right back to that hospital bathroom every time...

Agre with moist tissue, or soft stuff at the very least.

Broccolli your list is great, not too long at all. unlike the aldy in antenatal wAard with me a few weeks ago who has a couple of trolley bags AND holdalls with her...... and she was a homebirth transfer too!

Flexi straws useful for drinking in bizarre positins

isotonic sports drinks are great too, better than glusose tablets according to book Doula lent me

Of course, the mroe research you do, more ikely you'll end up like me with a birth so fast you never even get near your bag (in my normal clothes on the carpet LOL)
