Amniotic band

Has anyone ever had any experience with an amniotic band in pregnancy? I had a scan and the person scanning said she thinks she saw and amniotic band (14 weeks at the time). She said it was tethered at both ends/doesn't currently appear to be doing any damage. I have been referred to foetal medicine. I have contacted the hospital and they have said the consultant dealing with referrals is off until next week. I am really worried as I have googled and all kinds has come up. Has anyone had any experience with this? I had never even heard of it before now.

I posted asking about amniotic sheets so slightly different to bands. Apparently bands can disappear on its own, it is very rare for them to cause an issue. I did read about how in worse case scenarios they can even operate to cut the bands before they’re born!
It’s hard not to worry though I know, I just saw my midwife for a check and we’re still waiting to hear advice from the hospital about the sheet on mine but likely won’t hear back till end of the week or next and I’ve been stressing for a week already!
