I've been invited for my Covid and flu jab from GP. Currently 20 weeks so will soon also be having the whooping cough and new RSV jabs.
Are you spacing them out? Or make no difference?

I space them out. I am 23 weeks and got the whooping cough last week, will get the covid and flu as soon as available, maybe the same time and the rsv separately when I am around 28 weeks

SouthwestSis · 17/09/2024 20:39

I got the whooping cough jab the same day I went for my 20 week scan. Then had RSV separate, and then had both flu and covid jabs today, so my baby should be born with super immunity!

When were you offered Covid boosters? I haven’t heard anything about getting one - and I do love a vaccine 😂

HopefulllHolly · 18/09/2024 02:52

I had my whooping cough and flu last week (different arms) and am booked for my Covid on 5th October. Will then get my rsv after 28 weeks (currently 22 weeks)

@IMBCRound2 also haven't been offered one this pregnancy and currently have Covid and very poorly with it I feel hideous 35 weeks

My little one got Covid when she was about 9 months- she was always small (2-5 centile) but after Covid she dropped to the 0.5 centile and never came back up… I love my tiny girl but I do wonder if she wouldn’t have been quite so small if we hadn’t caught it.

i hope you feel better soon- it can be absolutely awful!!

Wonderballs · 18/09/2024 08:04

If they let you have a vaccine the same day, it’s safe to do so and you reduce your time vulnerable to the illness

Peonies12 · 18/09/2024 09:44

I had my flu and RSV together last week, had whooping cough a while ago. There's no evidence for the need to space any vaccines out, for pregnant people or babies. If anything, get the arm ache over with at once!

HopefulllHolly · 18/09/2024 10:07

(I forgot to add to my post - the nurse asked if I wanted her to do the flu the same day and the whooping cough one - it was planned for the same day as the Covid one initially)

DaveWatts · 18/09/2024 10:10

I was told that RSV had to be done at least two weeks apart from flu/Covid (by my midwife) so have had that one but not the others yet. Had whooping cough a month or so ago as hadn't been invited for the RSV one yet but it made my arm so sore that it's probably a good thing that they weren't all at the same time.

Rsv is after 28 weeks only and needs to be 2 weeks apart from flu jab x
