Taking promethazine hydrochloride twice a day

I am only 9 weeks and 1 day... I started to vomit from 15:00 yesterday then after 10:30 today. The vomiting is getting worse. So I took one just now because GP said it was fine to take 1 in the morning if it got worse.
The dosage of 1 tablet is 25 mg so I am taking 50 mg starting from today. Is anyone else doing the same? What is your experience?
I was really hoping to just take one before bed...😢

Yes. This is fine. Promethazine is prescribed in 25’s and 50’s. You may notice you are more sleepy - which is normal, as promethazine is also prescribed as a short term sleep aid. If this doesn’t help, I would suggest revisiting medication with your GP as with treating morning sickness it can take some time finding the right fit. Hope this helps!
