Nausea suddenly stopped

Hi everyone I’m after some advice as I’m quite anxious.

Never had a day of sickness in my first pregnancy (2 year old son) 2nd pregnancy had sickness for a few weeks starting around week 6-7 and then ended in a MMC at 9 weeks. Sickness had gone by around 9 weeks if I remember correct but I didn’t know I had miscarried untill 12 week scan.
Currently 7+6 and nausea started around week 6 and suddenly stopped yesterday. I had an early scan done 4 days ago everything was fine with strong heartbeat. In this pregnancy I haven’t felt much other than some nausea and hungry all the time (which I still am) but no fatigue/tiredness, no sore breasts or anything else. I’m on Cyclogest and aspirin due to previous miscarriage.

My question is, is it normal for nausea to suddenly stop?

Thank you in advance.

Mine did, at 10 weeks. I rang my mum in a panic thinking something was dreadfully wrong but she told me not to worry as the same had happened to her. That was my first pregnancy and I have a strapping 22 year old to show for it.
I had 2 other pregnancies - one MC and then DC2, and each time the nausea followed a different pattern. I completely understand your anxiety being pregnant after a loss, but if the scan was good and healthy, and there are no other concerns, you could well have just got lucky on the nausea.

Yes it can. It can come and go as well. This is my third pregnancy. my first was a missed miscarriage, I only had mild nausea then. My second was my son and in that I had mild nausea and then sickness 2-3 times a week from week 7-14. I do remember it came and went in that pregnancy. It fully went at 8.5 weeks for about 4-5 days so I booked a private scan because I was convinced it had stopped again. It did that two more times. It disappeared at 10 weeks for a few days, then at 12.5 weeks I assumed the placenta had taken over but it came back for a final 3-4 days at 13.5-14weeks and was very intense. I was sick 5-6 times a day. Then it fully went.

I am pregnant again now and I have had nausea from 6 weeks, with only 1-2 times being sick, mine stopped at 8+0 on Wednesday and had a scan that morning (at EPAU due to intense pain) showing it was on track with a heartbeat (7+6) and the nausea/sickness completely disappeared for 3 fully days. It started again mildly yesterday and now today its just got more intense. I have been sick three times within 3hrs this morning.

Yours might come back soon.

It's very normal for symptoms to come and go in the first trimester. Mine have been very on and off with weeks where I don't even feel pregnant then it comes back with a bang.

Every pregnancy is different and symptoms stopping and starting doesn't have any bearing on if the pregnancy will be successful or not.

Try to enjoy the reprieve while it lasts

Mine stopped last week at just under 9 weeks but had a scan at exactly 10 weeks and all looking very positive. It comes and goes now but doesn’t mean a negative outcome.
