Bleeding at 11 weeks

Hello, I'm 11 weeks tomorrow with my fourth. I've never had this in my previous pregnancies but when I woke up today there was blood on the tissue when I wipe. It's not soaking through to a pad, only when I wipe, but has been going on all day.
I've been to the GP who then referred me to the hospital, they can't see me until Monday! So I'm sitting here thinking the worst for the whole weekend.
Has any one had this situation one way or the other.
I've never even had implantation bleeding before so it's not usual for me.
Thanks all

I’m sorry you’re having some bleeding. How is it now?

I had some spotting during my pregnancy and was advised to pop a pad on to monitor the bleed, which you’ve done. What colour is the bleeding?

Sending hugs❤️

@Ariadne08 it's heavier now, I can't imagine this is going to end well. It's bright red blood. I think I might have to go to A&E, I can't sit here for two days wondering what's happening.

I’m so sorry @Jackofallmasterofnone ❤️Yes, go to A&E. If you explain you are experiencing bleeding hopefully they may send you to their pregnancy unit for a scan/Doppler.

My fingers are crossed for you.

I had a bleed around 9 weeks, light bleed/bleeding when wiping. I wasn't able to be seen for a day so went private. I was fortunate that cervix remained closed and was old blood, now 6 months

Wishing you good luck. If in doubt I'd ring back and see if a gyane ward could see you tomorrow ? Or perhaps a&e. I hope everything works out for you and your baby

Can you afford a private scan? There will be somewhere that can fit you in tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you OP.

Yes we did consider that, I will have a look and see if any have availability over the weekend if I don't end up going to A&E

I've had bleeding in all five pregnancies and have two children. My last pregnancy I bled so much it was scary, but everything was fine. Can you try and call the epu and see if they at least have any advice? I'm so sorry this is happening to you, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's going to end badly x

It’s so scary to see red blood especially early in a pregnancy as there’s so little they can do 💔
I had a severe bleed at 12 weeks (soaked through pjs and onto bedsheets/mattress), it happened in the night and I only realised at 6am the next morning. I totally freaked out and was screaming on the toilet, we went to a&e and they said they wouldn’t scan me as I’d had a scan the day before (my 12 week scan). I booked a private scan for the same day and thank goodness baby was fine. I had a scan a few days later in the EPU where they found a large subchorionic hematoma, which was the cause of the bleed. I had one further bleed at 16 weeks then no more. I’m now 39 weeks and all is well 🙏🏽 this is also baby no.3 and I never had any bleeding in any of those pregnancies so I can understand the shock. Hoping it all turns out positive for you ♥️

WiseDog · 14/09/2024 13:12

@Jackofallmasterofnone I had the same before falling pregnant again it was a miscarriage x

TriggerWarning45 · 14/09/2024 13:18

I had a 2 miscarriages both twin pregnancies. With both I didn't have any bleeding at all. I had no idea until I had a scan. With DC1 I bled a lot. I was actually put on bed rest. I had a hematoma. My daughter is now 5. You don't know until you have a scan.

@Ariadne08 @Betterthanitseems @Dmfo @Gracelet @Betterthanitseems and all.
sadly I lost the baby last night. I went to bed and woke an hour later feeling like the was some blood on the pad. I ended up in A&E due to the amounts of blood involved. Thank you all for your advice.

Oh I’m so sorry @Jackofallmasterofnone

Be kind to yourself now; rest, have a soak in the bath, eat whatever you want.

This too shall pass ❤️
