your teeth and gums are really sensitive during pregnancy because of the hormones. I was told by the dentist to floss and use those little brush things to clean between the teeth twice a day. my gums are still sensitive and baby is 5m, if in doubt phone the dentist and beg for an earlier appt.

Argghhhh my teeth and gums have been a total nightmare in the last month. I have a dentist appointment on Thursday to get them cleaned but I've been putting it off because when I floss it turns into a bloodbath

Apparently the old wives tale is that you loose a tooth for every pregnancy... Fortunately that shouldn't be the case but it goes to show that mouth problems are pretty common!
