8 weeks pregnant, really bad cough

I am 8 weeks pregnant today!

over the last 3/4 days I’ve had a really sore throat and cold. I now I have a really dry tickly cough, which often turns into gagging!! I am worried about the effect of the constant coughing on the baby!

I have no pregnancy symptoms, so I am already worried about MM. I took a test this morning and still positive, but I know that doesn’t confirm anything. I have a scan Friday but I am just looking for some reassurance!

I had recurrent chest infections in the first and second trimester of my pregnancy, I'm now 37+1 and all has been absolutely fine so far. I was on antibiotics and inhalers and was coughing until I brought up phlegm/was sick multiple times a day for weeks at a time.

I promise, this will not impact the baby at all! They will take everything they need from you and coughing etc will not harm them in anyway x

Don't worry, coughing won't affect your baby.
And my mum had four children and never had any sickness or other well known symptoms! (It's the opposite for me unfortunately)
