Pregnancy or just poorly!?

Hi all, I’ve trailed the internet with little answer. I recently found out I’m pregnant so currently only 4w 5d pregnant. As well as feeling horribly nauseous today, I’ve also been absolutely freezing, to the point where my teeth are chattering and I feel achey all over . Could this be a pregnancy symptom or am I actually just sick? Has anyone else had this as a pregnancy symptom?! For context, I work in a primary school so the latter is definitely likely at the beginning of term.

I'm 4w6d and been freezing for the last couple of days indeed. Nose and ears feel cold to the touch even in a heated room and under the duvet - and I am working from home, so definitely no exposure to colds/viruses. So it's not completely impossible for it to be pregnancy related. :) Congrats on your pregnancy & get better!

Thank you! Really appreciate you getting back to me. Congratulations on your pregnancy too :) . I am at the stage where I am quite nervous but hopefully that will calm down soon…I reckon I’ve probably got a combo of pregnancy and illness getting me!

Right at the time I missed a period I also caught an awful bug.....I was cold and shivery but had fever, sickness and diarrhea, really achy etc, it was awful. It was definitely a bug.

At the same time I started to feel the sore boobs and that's what prompted me to test.

Thanks @sel2223 . Yeh hard to tell what’s causing it. A bath and a lemsip is helping!

I’d check if Lemsip is ok during pregnancy!

Yes me! I was always freezing and shivering during the early part of pregnancy. It was like I just couldn’t get warm. I think it passed by around 10 weeks xx

@Starbiscuit thanks for replying, I’m glad it’s not just me ! I’m hoping it doesn’t last until 10 weeks which currently feels forever away lol. Hope you are feeling ok now x

I’ve been so cold with chills in both my pregnancies and I think it’s just a normal symptom for me! The body basically goes into overdrive when early pregnant so it probably does as much as it can to cool it down.

Enjoy being cool, in later stages you’ll be boiling even with no clothes on in the middle of winter 😂
