Where do I register my pregnancy?

Hello!
I'm moving at Christmas and was wondering if I should register my pregnancy where I currently live and swap or just register at my new address? The distance between the two is about a 45 minute drive.

Up to you. Assuming you're newly pregnant, you can either have your booking-in and twelve week scan where you are now and transfer your care later in the pregnancy, or you can refer yourself to the area you're moving to now and have all your care there but have to drive for your initial appointments.

I would say midwife care would fall under the area your current gp is registered at

I would register locally now then transfer later if you want to

Thanks all! X
