Hi all
I had this scan done at 5+6 on Sunday and she says everything looks good. There was a yolk sac but she has reported she hasn't seen a foetal pole, isn't that what the line coming off the ring shape is? I know it's not the most clear photo but this is all she gave me :(

You more than likely won't see a fetal pole that early. That's very normal. It's so early.

If everything looks good then that's great OP! The only thing they can identify at 5 weeks is a yolk sack and that it's growing in the right place!

I don't know if this helps... this was my scan at 6 weeks, you can kind of see the difference around the yolk sack as there was the start of a fetal pole! Give it a week or so and if you had another scan you may be able to see it (sometimes people don't see it even at 6 weeks, that's why private places won't scan that early as it causes unnecessary stress!)

Hi OP, that sounds very normal for under 6 weeks, probably just a matter of days before the fetal pole develops.
Will you go back in a couple of weeks? You should see a noticeable difference then and also a heartbeat!
