Please bare with me.
I don’t know if I’m losing my marbles, why doesn’t anyone want to help me.
I am a mother of 3 so I have done the pregnancy thing. I am not on birth control not actively avoiding or trying for a baby. What will be will be! (Withdrawal method, sorry)…
So, my periods are like clockwork, I have been tracking since 2021 and never more than a few days late if they ever are. My last period was July 24th. Next one was due 20th of Aug and I was going on holiday on the 25th. Thought perfect that’ll be done by the time I go away, it never came and I thought, typical that’ll come while I’m on holiday! Well it never came, still hasn’t. Now I’m 20 days late with incredibly bloated belly, sore boobs, some ligament pains, slight nausea, hormonal etc. No brainer we think. No 8 negative tests say otherwise. Iv spoken to a couple of doctors and no one seems to really care too much however I AM STRESSING I burst into tears this morning. I told my mum about my predicament and she said when she was pregnant with her 6th! My brother she never tested positive and it was confirmed at 10 weeks with a scan. This was 23 years ago, surely tests have come on now. My brain goes to worst case.. something is happening in my stomach (I’m 8st 2 with a flat belly usually, now I look pregnant) is it something more sinister in there!. I’m looking for some reassuring stories or advice please 😭

You wouldn't be the first or last to never test positive and I think if HCG us particularly high it can appear negativexagain but I may be wrong there. Good luck. I'd book a private scan.

Twins run in my family, the thought of having a scan and seeing nothing makes me want to cry. I just keep thinking surely I will test positive eventually. It's becoming such a waste of money.

A friend of mine did not test positive until she was 8 weeks pregnant. I think it was confirmed by a blood test at her GPs. I would contact your doctors and just and ask for a blood test.

Wow, it certainly sounds like pregnancy!

Yes the blood test at the doctors sounds a good idea! Maybe less traumatic than a scan with nothing there?

You don't mention your age but I have been clockwork regular my entire life then hit my late 30's/40 and my cycle went haywire overnight! Since then I've been having long, irregular cycles and skipping the odd period completely with no explanation other than age.
It's extremely frustrating.

Thankfully I did eventually get my BFP and I'm not 11 weeks pregnant.
