Hi everyone
I am currenlty 16 weeks pregnant (17 tomorrow) and yesterday tested positive for covid after feeling really unwell. Symptoms have resembled really bad flu (been high temp but no fever thankfully, terrible headaches, chills, sneezing, mild coughing, feeling faint and generally very weak, loss of appetite etc, terrible back aches and pains in my side and tummy) obviously quite worried about the baby....
Has anyone else had covid while pregnant?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I've had it twice! Once at around 13 weeks and just recently at 32 weeks. The baby has been absolutely fine. I just took my time resting, kept my fluids up. If you have any concerns you could call your midwife for reassurance :) x

I had it in my first pregnancy in 2020 when they were still unsure about the effects on an unborn baby. Thankfully all was OK.

Feel better soon

Sister had it twice in one pregnancy - Her & baby were fine

If you are worried, speak to the doctor or your midwife on the telephone

Drink lots and try and eat little and often, even if you dont fancy it

I’ve had it - more than once, in two pregnancies (I’m a healthcare worker with three Covid era babies). Rest and rehydrate if possible. Midwives should still take a call for reassurance if you want - but in both cases my pregnancies have not been impacted, babies born healthily, within expected timeframes.

Yes I had it in November 2020 pre vaccinations! I was 32 weeks. Thankfully all was fine, and DD is now a happy, healthy 3 year old!
