Positive pregnancy test this morning - In shock

DH and I haven't been sure if we want another baby or not (have a daughter that's 3) but we had unprotected sex 3 weeks ago on a rare date night! I took the morning after pill but this morning I've had a positive test. I'm so shocked, I only took it as my period was late but I thought it would be caused by the MAP.

I literally can't breathe for shock.

I went on a hen weekend one week after and drank like a fish. I also take sertraline for anxiety and depression. I had such severe PPD after my daughter. I'm so scared.

It's okay, take some deep breaths. In this moment you don't have to do anything so just concentrate on calming yourself and coming back to the moment. Let the panic subside before you go back into your head, be kind to yourself while you get over the shock

My darling you're in full control! Take a breath. It's your body, think on it and decide what you'd like to do. Sending you a huge cuddle x

You have options OP and you have time. Today do nothing. When you are calmer, sit with your partner and discuss it.

Thank you for such kind comments. I feel calmer this evening but still very overwhelmed. I told DH and he tried to hide it but I can tell he's a bag of nerves too.

Hi OP
I became pregnant a year after my son was born. He was a desperately wanted IVF baby and it seemed like a miracle but I was DEVASTATED. I just didn't feel like it was the right time, and for so many reasons we decided not to continue either the pregnancy.
I now have a 4 year old and finally feel ready to add to the family, but it was a long journey here until we felt ready. We have options and that's wonderful. Don't feel pressured, talk, think it through, and you'll make the right choice for you and your family now, and that's all you can ever do. X

I hope you're feeling better OP, are you and your dp feeling excited aswell as nervous? It is nerve - wracking when unexpected I'm sure. All of mine were planned so I can't resonate but sending you best wishes 💛

@magicstar2020 I'm sorry you went through that, Thank you for sharing, I wish you well in your journey 💐

@Happiestwhen last night I felt a little excitement but this morning I've woken up at 5am feeling sick with anxiety again.
