Aspirin help

Been taking aspirin 150mg (half a 300mg tablet) every day since 13 weeks for Low Papp A. I'm now 18 weeks and just realised I've been taken soluable/dispersible aspirin whole by accident! will this do anything? Will it have worked the same?

I'm not a medical expert but since the human body is 60% water, I can't see there being a problem. It'll just dissolve inside rather than outside - as long as it gets into your system, that's all that matters

The only worry would be that it'd be quite harsh on your stomach. Aspirin can be anyway which is why they advise to take with food. It shouldn't have affected its efficacy but I'd start taking with water now so it doesn't cause stomach issues down the line. I take dispersible too and you literally need like 30mls of water. Then down it like a shot! 🥂

I asked this exact question of my consultant yesterday! He said it is absolutely fine! I think worth washing it down with a fair bit of water just in case irritates anything but he was v v v relaxed about it 😊

I took soluble aspirin in both my pregnancies as you would take a regular tablet. Other than a bit of nausea I had no ill effects. I know it's not great if the tablet lands directly onto the stomach lining, but I made sure to chase the tablets with water.

I have been doing this as I’m a wimp and don’t like the idea of dispersable 🤢 I just make sure to take it straight after dinner so my stomach is fully lined
