11 weeks sharp pain on left side of crotch

Hi! I'm 11 weeks and for the past few days I've had an on and off (mostly on) sharp, stabbing pain right at the bottom of the pelvis on the left side. We've had scans due to losses and last week the sonographer said I ovulated from my left side as she can see the follicle (didn't know this was a thing but cool!)

Has anyone had this? The sharp pains aren't necessarily painful, just uncomfy and they come and go very quickly. Kind of like having a stitch but right above my lady parts on the left side!

Hi @Shahhhh , sorry you didn’t get any responses to this - can I ask how you’re doing now please? I’m 11 weeks and think I’m having a similar thing - intermittent sharp pain, at the very bottom of my stomach, kinda around the front of my pelvis, more in the middle though. Have also had losses and can’t remember what pains I had at this stage with my DS so am feeling a bit worried.

Hi love! I'm 16 weeks on Monday and I'm fine. I still get sharp pains now and again and my midwife said it's ligament pain, just stretching out for baby! As long as you have no bleeding or anything I'd say that's what it is for you too. Seems super common and normal 🥰 I'm so sorry for your losses. I'm in the same boat so I understand it's scary when there's pains and stuff that you don't recognise! Sending you a hug x

Thank you so much for your quick and really reassuring reply! I was thinking maybe round ligament pain but I get that when I sneeze, cough or move too quickly and this is a bit different - not as intense a pain and feels more like a pinprick type pain if that makes sense? Hopefully all normal though and will hopefully get reassurance at scan next week.

Sharp pains that feel scary but I had them throughout both my dc pregnancies. They say it's ligament pain? But I dunno. If you're ever really really worried though, always check with your midwife! 😊

Im 11 weeks and I've had lightning crotch for about a week now. Just as you are all describing. The pains started on the left side then sort moved to the middle and now they are on both sides. I got really worried because it seems to be more common in the third trimester. My 12 week scan is in 10 days and I'm getting really impatient. Thanks for sharing, it's reassuring to hear of others who've had this around the same time. This is my first time being pregnant. Everything is scary.
