Hi guys! So I'm currently just under 11 weeks pregnant and I've been feeling AWFUL, but this morning I woke up feeling a hell of a lot worse. I'm just so tired, sooo lethargic, constantly nauseous and feeling so so so run down. Please tell me this passes? I'm so happy to be pregnant but so far I hate the whole experience if I'm honest. I just feel like utter crap. 😭

I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and feeling exactly the same.
Selk employed and really really finding it hard to get the energy or motivation to work...... end up giving up when I start throwing up!
Apparently this should get better for us soon, fingers crossed!

I should add, I'm struggling to even get downstairs never mind going outside. My partner keeps telling me fresh air will do me good which I agree with but going out will literally kill me off! I'm feeling so down

It's so good to know it's not just me! I'm currently on the sick this week as I can't function! Really hope it settles for us soon 🤞💛

Week 10 is a huge hormone surge, often symptoms such as fatigue and sickness peak, start to wan e from week 11 onwards. If you can download the NHS pregnancy app, it shows what to expect week by week, really helpful.

anonhop · 06/09/2024 12:33

Weeks 9-12 were when it peaked for me. They were SO miserable. I promise promise it should get better soon. I was convinced I'd never feel normal again but you really do!
Just be super kind to yourself & let everything slip over these next couple of weeks.
Especially hard if you haven't told anyone yet.
This is the worst bit! X

Yep sounds normal. Just do whatever you need to get through, hopefully it will ease after 12/13 weeks, I felt a lot better then.

Evergreen90 · 06/09/2024 12:52

I felt like this for most of my two pregnancies. It did improve a bit in the second trimester. Sounds cliche but it’s all worth it

Evergreen90 · 06/09/2024 12:52

Also agree with other PPs - weeks 9-12 are the worst

TokyoSushi · 06/09/2024 12:55

Yep, I was signed off weeks 9-12, just horrendous, but it definitely does get better. Really cheesy but I just kept telling myself, I felt so terrible, because the baby was growing so well. Utterly grim, but it will pass, just do as little as you possibly can and let everything slide while it passes!

You poor thing, it is awful. Are you managing to eat and drink? If you're not then could be worth talking to your midwife/GP and considering medication.
I didn't actually throw up much with DD1 apart from dry heaving, but felt so awful first trimester, all I did for weeks was come home from work and lie on the sofa. If I moved I heaved, if I went in the kitchen/opened the fridge I heaved - horrendous!
Getting through a day at work was all I could manage.
It did pass though, I improved around 12 weeks then felt a lot better from 16 weeks

Negangirlxx · 06/09/2024 13:06

Week 7-16 were the worst for me.

Morning sickness, nausea, lethargic, leg cramps, the list is endless.

I still had the odd bit of morning sickness in the second trimester. Now I’m in my third trimester and I’ve got pelvic pain, and backache etc. The only good part is being able to feel baby move.

Pregnancy is not fun at all! 😂😂

It's unreal how much better I feel just knowing that it's not just me!!! Thanks so much ladies. Hopefully the next couple of weeks it'll get easier 😭
