Pain under ribs in front and back!

Praying someone else has been there and knows what this pain is… I’m in hell with this pain.

i have the worst pain in my back and front - under my ribs, on the sides. Mainly on my right hand side but occasionally the left hand side too.
left hand side = likely stomach related and the heartburn has started so fine. But this pain in my right side is debilitating.
now the doctors sent me for an ultrasound and that all came back fine, no issues in my abdomens (liver, gallbladder kidneys etc). Not tender to touch either. Paracetamol does nothing, and nor does applying ibuprofen gel.

also not preeclampsia

anyone else had this?! And if so, remedies? Relief?

I feel some relief when I’m in the bath (not a luxury I get to enjoy much) and occasionally in bed if I lie on my back but then I get scared of lying on my back too much!

thank you and sorry for the long post. I’ve got 3 months left and I am really struggling 😩

I get this numerous times a week and it’s awful! I’m pretty sure it’s trapped wind. I’ve found fizzy drinks really set mine off so I’ve been avoid them. I take Rennie Deflatine when it’s really bad which does help. Also going out for a walk after dinner helps. I know pain in back and ribs could be a sign of a urine infection, have you had your urine checked recently? If not it’s probably worth giving the doctor a call just to be on safe side.

Thanks, I I’ll try the deflatine but I don’t think it’s related to what I’m eating :(
yes urines tested very frequently 😅 not that either

I am not sure how far along you are but I had really bad rib pain between 26-31 weeks ish, normally on my right hand side and would radiate round to my back. Saw gp who gave my tummy a good feel and basically said baby was just really high and his head was getting wedged up under my ribs (I’m quite petite and have a short torso so think everything was just incredibly compressed!) afraid not much helped except hot baths, lying down (on my side) when I could, using ice / a hot water bottle occasionally to try to get baby to move, and waiting for baby to go lower / not be breech… you have my sympathies!

@hopingforapeainapod thank uou- really reassuring.
baby is quite low for me but i think it’s squished in there so maybe just pushing my organs up!
the pain you described is exactly what im having! Except lying on tht side doesn’t help, nor does lying on the other side lol. Baths do help though!!
just feels like I have a longgg time to go in this pain (11-12 weeks left)
