Naval stone

Hi bit of an embarrassing one,I usually have a very deep belly button,22 weeks pregnant now so belly button stretching, might pop. And I've noticed I have a naval stone (from Google pretty sure this is what it is)

Should I go to my GP or is that stupid? I could potentially take it out myself (haven't fully worked out how). Or wait to see if it pops out - I know gross

Anyone else been in this situation ?

Get in there with tweezers and dig it out and live-post to Sporners' Corner so we can all admire

SantasRubiksCube · 05/09/2024 16:31

Id have to get digging at that right away, I couldn't stand just leaving it there 😂and another vote for sporners corner too

It's quite a small space I don't actuslly nwo if tweezers would fully fit. Also afraid of hurting myself. Is there any chance it could cause an infection?

It can get a bit manky and yeasty (but so can all belly buttons)

Just get to it and remove it.

It's stuck! Partner tried too with tweezers and it wouldn't come out

Take the head off your shower and put the hose end over the belly button it should flick it out

I can confirm that this doesn't work

I think it's unfair that you haven't provided photos 😅
If you can't remove it then perhaps try some olive oil to soften it, but no i can't see a GP being interested, sorry.

TripleESept24 · 07/09/2024 22:07

I would absolutely have to do everything in my will to get this out!!! Yes have you tried oiling it/softening it???

readyforroundthree · 07/09/2024 22:26

I had to google what it was 🤣 now I know what it is it would be driving me insane. What about baby oil and a cotton bud to soften it?

Yes this - or Vaseline . You need to soften it and then maybe a warm flannel over it then try to remove it again

Betterthanitseems · 08/09/2024 18:21

I have tried vaseline and conditioner. It's not visible in the morning only in the evening,my bump obviously must get bigger and push it out as the day goes on
