im the 4th person in my team that will be pregnant and going off on maternity leave. Im only 6 and a half weeks and haven’t told anyone apart from my mum. I want to keep it a secret for a while. There has been comments in work ‘no one else is pregnant are they?’ Any non pregnant people able to help with lifting boxes? In fairness I got away with lifting a light one without anyone noticing I avoided the heavy ones. I don’t know how long I’m going to have to keep this up for and paranoid do they think I just get pregnant because everyone rlse did. We had been trying for a while up to 6 months before I got pregnant. Two girls announced a few months ago and another girl told me a few weeks ago that she was then a week or two later I found out I was. My husband just said ‘well that’s life’ but I’m so nervous to tell my boss

The sooner you tell your boss the sooner you have protection both as in a risk assessment so you don't have to lift boxes and legal protection.
We had 3 members of staff fall pregnant in a short space of time on a tiny time it happens.

Told my boss. He was really happy for me but at the same time I could tell he seemed a bit stressed. May not have been to do with that but I do feel guilty as I’m a people pleaser but I know my health comes first.
