Hi All,
I know this might be a stupid question but I went on a banana boat on the 18th and fell off quite badly twice.
I then found out I was pregnant on the 28th with DC2 and now panicking and kicking myself for going on the stupid thing.
Had a bit of back bruising nothing severe but my dad did land on my pack and he’s no small man.
should I mention it to midwife when I go or am I worrying about nothing?

I fell in the bathroom at 20 weeks, slipped on tiles and landed heavily on my back/bum, I never mentioned it and baby was fine! Luckily they have plenty of padding in there, congratulations on your pregnancy and good luck!

I fell down an entire flight of stairs in early pregnancy- baby was fine!

I did go for a EPU scan for reassurance- if that’s an option I’d say ask for one. TBH it wouldn’t change the outcome but I felt better knowing what was going on in there.

Baby will likely be fine and dandy on there. Doubt EPAU would give you a scan when it happened so early on

The embryo is deep inside your pelvis, the size of a pin head and surrounded by cushioning. It will be fine.

I spent a week skiing in January, fell over loads of times, including a couple of pretty heavy impacts, and then found out I was pregnant on the day I got home - falling had no effect at all on the development of the pregnancy. I even managed to fall over last weekend at 36 weeks and baby is fine! It's very unlikely an EPU would even see you at such an early stage - just remember baby is tiny and very well protected in there, and try not to make yourself anxious about it.

I fell over on Ice at 22 weeks and landed on my side which really jarred my hips and I had a massive bruise. My son was fine and is now 13.

Thanks all! Much appreciated.
You’d think second time round I’d be less anxious but no 😫
