Thoughts needed, please help!

So I'm due on my period tomorrow, the 4th September. I'm usually regular. I did an early pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative then literally minutes after the test I noticed there was pink on the tissue when I wiped. I've had mild cramping on and off for about a week too. Since that spotting, which happened once, there's not been anymore. Now I'm confused. Could it be implementation bleeding or is it a bit late for that given my period is due tomorrow?

implementation bleeding would happen sometime within the 2 weeks after ovulation.

I thought my period was coming early, but it was one incident and a very small amount. Still nothing since. I guess I'll know over the next day or two anyway. I did get a blue line on a 6 day early test on Friday but I also appreciate that could equally be an evap with that brand.
