I done 2 pregnancy tests today. I am 4 days from when my period is due I.e. it’s due on Friday. On the digital early testing check (clearblue upto 6 days early test) showed a faint line. The clearblue digital test said not pregnant. Has anyone else experience this or know why I have could get 2 different results??

The digital tests aren't as sensitive so it may be that you're using them too early.
Try a pink dye test - good luck

Excuse my ignorance but what’s a pinkdye test?

You're just testing super early and some tests are more sensitive than others.
I'd wait a few days and retest

@Hatethisheadofmine

Tests that use pink die instead of blue.

For eg. You can use "first response 6 day early detection pregnancy test" that's pink die I believe and supposedly can pick up 6 days before period if you're pregnant. I used them and they did end up being accurate for me.
But maybe others may have had different experiences.

Urgh pink dye * not die 🙄 sorry.

Yes yes so the clear blue tip is pink and it’s the one that gave a positive. Just feel so cautious because the digital is negative

It's just any test that has pink dye - I don't know why but apparently they're more reliable and sensitive.
You can order some online. The cheap strip style HCG ones are good.

Good luck - but as hard as it is, try to hold off testing until at least the day of your missed period as some tests will show negative - I went through that and was devastated beyond belief at my negative Clear Blue, but that negative became a red-haired little girl :)

I know I know usually I do wait but just felt different this month and just had to test. I’m going to wait a few days to test again tho x

Those digitals don't really work til after your period is late. Get a cheapie test from a supermarket, they're the best! I'm not convinced those 'early' ones even work, never did for me even when I was pregnant.

It's hard though isn't it? To be honest, I tested a lot more than I should - good luck x

@AddictedToBooks same here! So hard not to test! Can be very addicting!

All the best and keep us posted if you feel you can!

CheshireMummyy · 02/09/2024 20:01

@Peonies12 they definitely do work mine tested positive 8 days before my missed period and have got darker daily since.
Depends when you ovulate I guess.

OP as others have advised grab some first response tests. Never had a false positive or missed positive with them.

Hatethisheadofmine · 03/09/2024 08:57

Took another one this morning and got a darker line. So happy!
