Gender at 14 weeks? Accurate?

Long story begins now..
After 4 years of trying we've finally conceived our first baby! Yippee! Naturally we are very eager to know the sex of baby. I sent my 12+4 scan to nub theorist who said Boy
We then had a scan at 13+2 by a man who's been scanning for 40 years and he asked if we wanted to know gender as he's 90% sure he can see. He also said boy
This prompted us to get a 14 week gender scan at a different local clinic and she also said baby is a boy and she'd be very very surprised if he turns out to be a she!

How reliable are these 14 week scans if you've had one was it correct?

My partner has only had boys in his side for over 80 years so this hasn't come as a surprise and we're over the moon for anything since we've waited so long!! 🩵

I think at 14 weeks these are pretty reliable, particularly if 3 different opinions have said the same, congratulations! 😊
most private clinics offer a blood test from 6 weeks now that can determine sex by the amount of Y chromosomes in the mothers blood stream, which is 99.9% accurate

Congratulations! Do you have a photo of your scan?

Thankyou!! 1st and 3rd are 14weeks. 2nd pic is 12+4. I don't have the 13+2 pic on my phone :) x

@Postbox10 I heard that they can say girl this early on and turns out to be a boy but rarely say boy which then turns out to be a girl. Fingers crossed it's correct..I'm just imagining him now and how he'll look and what we'll call him! So over the moon💕

Looks like a boy to me, congratulations! I think it's very likely it will be a boy, particularly if you had a private scan at 14 weeks too to tell you the sex.

I also had private scans at 14 weeks both times to find out the sex, some clinics can tell you earlier than others.

Congratulations OP, it's taken us 4 years to conceive as well (I'm currently 10 weeks).

It does look like Boy 💙 and sounds like everyone has been pretty certain.

@sel2223 congratulations! It's a long emotional journey and I just can't believe In just 26 weeks we're at the finish line and will have our darling boy that we've yearned for for so so long! How are you feeling? X
