Struggling to find a double pram, preferably side by side - cybex cloudz compatible and good for a baby and a toddler!

help me find the impossible 🥲

Out and about double!

Second the above, so easy to push and width was perfect for the front door

As above we considered the Out n About but decided not to get it until baby arrived. We had a 23 month gap and in the end didn't get a double as didn't personally have the need.

Does it need to be lie flat for the baby? Is it going to be going in the car (I assume so with cloud Z compatibility, great choice) or will you be walking from home more? How old is your toddler? Could a buggy board be an option (or a carrier) until toddler can walk more? What's the budget? Would you consider secondhand?

I hear good things about the Bugaboo too.

Out n About.

I had an out and about, that as the absolute best! I tried many...

I think out n about if you want an all rounder. The nicest one I’ve seen is the baby jogger city mini gt2 double (but don’t know if it’s compatible). I have the thule urban glide 2 double (and it’s the best thing I’ve ever ever bought but is for off road/dog walks/running) and I’m pretty sure it’s compatible but I actually barely used the car seat on the pram second time round, other than the single buggy if we were nipping in a shop

Out and about double!

Best thing I've bought nipper 360 - not car seat compatible but you'll thank us later 😂

I had a Mountain Buggy Duet and loved it. Fitted through all single doors and on buses etc. We had a carrycot attachment for one side that just slots onto the seat when it's lying flat.

Can I jump on and ask the people recommending the out n about double is it suitable for a newborn? I will have a newborn and 1 year old and have been looking at this pram as I really like it.... If I buy a newborn insert will that be ok? And does it fit in the car well? Thank you

We used an Out n About for twins from newborn as they can lie flat. It was so good that 16 years later I still have a little rush of joy whenever I spot one, out and about.

PemberleynotWemberley · 30/08/2024 08:12

Yes to the newborn insert, @Anonaust , and a sheepskin when that's outgrown. The Nipper folds down really easily for travelling.

Yes it is. You can buy newborn bassinettes which attach to face you, or you can buy ‘newborn support’ additional pillows which provide newborns with extra support. We opted for this as didn’t have the room for the basinette and it was absolutely fine and great for my newborn :)

Thanks @PemberleynotWemberley and @Sausagedog101 that's great thank you looks like my doona has to go 😂

Twinkletwinklelil · 30/08/2024 12:44

Oh my goodness the Out and About is a clear favourite 🤣

did I see someone say it’s not car seat compatible?

we have a mamas and papas occaro and I’m so sad we won’t be using it - don’t think toddler will like the buggy board - he’s a wriggler! And he doesn’t hate the pushchair..yet!

I have this too and toddler is now 3. I’ve had the buggy board since baby was born when he was 2 and he would go on it to go shopping for a bit but really wasn’t into it. I’ve found it much more use as he’s got a bit older but he’s a generally tired child and moans fairly easily 🤣 so for walks we definitely still need the double at 3. I couldn’t go out for a full day without it

Kungfoopanda · 02/09/2024 22:04

I have the GT version of the Out n about double, it has 4 wheels, is slightly narrower and definitely allows a car seat. However I used it with my newborn just in lie flat mode and never bothered a car seat. My 4 year old still fits in. I'd say it's a good all rounder but more of a pavements/roads buggy than a rough terrain but handles parks/beaches/general life very well

minipie · 02/09/2024 22:15

Came on this thread to say Out n about nipper double 😂 it’s SO easy to push, simple and tough.

I believe the Mountain Buggy duet is very similar
