Hello! I wonder if anyone else has experienced pain on the left side in the groin/pelvis area? I am 19 weeks pregnant and it’s my first. Messaged my midwife but she takes over a week to come back to me?! Anyone else had this? Thanks xx

Hi, is there a number you can call at your hospital ? Mine has a 24 hour emergency line staffed by midwives at all times and I have called a few times due to pain. Your pain might be completely normal (most probable scenario) but please do express any concern to your midwife and do not wait until they get back to you via text.. they take ages. First time pregnant here too and I would encourage you to check any pain you have, from personal experience. Hope it's nothing and that you can get some reassurance soon!

I’m not sure if there is a number, I will make a GP app in the morning and also look into this! Thank you x

I did, though in my case I pulled a muscle in my groin while exersizing. Do you remember when it started?

A butterfly stretch (sitting upright, feet together knees apart; gently push down on your knees and lean forward, as you can manage) can help strengthen the muscle. Unfortunately mine didn't get better immediately as I got more heavily pregnant. 3 years later and pregnant again, and it's still sore! (it will improve again when baby is out as I'll be carrying less weight)
