First bump measurement

I've just had my first bump measurement today and i measured about 26cm at 26 weeks and 2 days. I didn't have my personal chart with me at the time as I'd taken the wrong pack (recently moved house and areas) so the midwife showed my growth on a general chart which was right on the 50th centile line. Now I've got home and looked at my own growth chart, it looks like I'm measuring more towards the 10th centile line. I am tall and I'm not showing as much as i should be, according to everyone who likes to comment on how tiny I look, but now I'm really starting to freak out and I'm panicking that my baby isn't growing properly.

I have called the midwife and I am waiting for her to call me back, but if anyone has any opinions or just general words of wisdom, I will be extremely grateful. This is my first baby so I have no idea what is and isn't ok.

I would flag it with your midwife but I definitely wouldn’t worry too much.

Because of my past history I was under consultant care and was scanned every month. They monitored my babies growth that way, but at the midwife appointments twice she went to measure me with the tape then said ‘oh sorry, we don’t need to do that for you do you we? To be honest I don’t know why we do it for anyone, it’s totally inaccurate’.

I’ve heard a lot of women (and other midwives) comment on it’s lack of accuracy.

I measured 21cm at 28 weeks, my cross wasn't even on the table nevermind anywhere near the centile lines! They sent me for a growth scan and she was on 17th centile. The bump measurements aren't very accurate at all I wouldn't worry!

I thought say roughy 1cm for every week of the pregnancy so you sound spot on? Pretty sure that's what it was 3 years ago in my last pregnancy.
