Yes that could be! How far along are you? I had my waters trickle with no gush and no contractions and it was similar- give maternity triage a call as they'll likely want to see you! X

chocolateanddietcoke · 29/08/2024 08:37

I'm 39+4; taking myself on a walk to try and see if it encourages anything. I've put a pad in for now to try and see if it's still a trickle or one off! Did you go into labour within the 24 hours

That's what my waters "breaking" looked like.

Enko · 29/08/2024 08:47

Oh. I did go into labour within 24 hours but ds was a pain and took 36 before he decided to make his entrance 😁

niclw · 29/08/2024 08:48

Mine were exactly the same. I called the midwives who told me to go in and they checked my pad to confirm it was my waters. Contractions started about two hours later for me. Very exciting. Good luck 🤞 x

Bobbybobbins · 29/08/2024 08:50

Could be! Mine broke before Labour started both times although I had to sit in the bath!

Supersoakers · 29/08/2024 08:51

I had a hind leak so a small tear but no contractions etc which meant I had to been induced if it didn’t start spontaneously due to risk of infection.

Pineappleprep · 29/08/2024 08:52

Looks like it! Mine was a rather big initial gush followed by on and off smaller amounts, contractions started I'd say within 10 minutes of that first amount. I had to sit on a puppy pad in the taxi on the way to the hospital

mrsed1987 · 29/08/2024 08:55

I would think so. My contractions started both times within 30 mins of my waters breaking. Ds1 was here 5.5 hours later and ds2 was here 6 hours later

mondaytosunday · 29/08/2024 09:31

No mistaking mine - flood gates opened!
It could be. Put on a maternity pad see what happen s over the next few hours.

Enko · 29/08/2024 21:15

Hoping the fact you haven't posted again. Means you are holding your newborn op.

Anasjwj · 29/08/2024 23:06

thats exactly how mine looked, but I went to triage and they said it wasn't, turned out it was as I kept having this and my waters had been slowly leaking for 2 weeks as it showed in a scan for low amniotic fluid!
so please make them do a swab! to check

Richteafinger · 29/08/2024 23:28

Yes, I had this and went in to get tested and it was my waters slowly leaking (premature rupture of membranes). You'll be at risk of infection if it is so worth going in.

I went in grumpy assuming I was just weeing myself and didn't come out until I was holding my baby! Good luck .

chocolateanddietcoke · 09/09/2024 20:13

Thanks all you were right. I was induced and had my second son 8lb 4 oz the following day :-)

Oh wow @chocolateanddietcoke congratulations! Thanks for posting this as I would have assumed it was discharge if it was me 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Great post ! All the best to you and baby ♥️

Enko · 12/09/2024 21:45

congratulations!

whoops2024 · 21/09/2024 09:22

Spookily after commenting on this post I have woken up today with a similar patch on my underwear. But I'm only 33 weeks 😥

My tummy feels rock hard and so low.

Best call triage 🙏

LuckysDadsHat · 21/09/2024 09:28

Mine was like this. Small gushes. Contractions started about 5 hours later.

whoops2024 · 21/09/2024 11:50

Wasnt waters thankfully.

I guess discharge can be watery! Glad I went to triage though. Peace of mind!
