What could it be and should I worry?

I'm 17 weeks tomorrow.

Thank you for answering me.

I've got an appointment for next thurs with the m/w. I last had my BP done at booking in.

I don't think it's kicking, baby is still far too low.

Does it hurt to breath?

Do you have a cough?

Have you had any pain or swelling in your leg (s)?

Is it constant?

Does it stay in the same place?

Does it radiate to your back or shoulder?

I had this and turned out to be ribs stretching. 'Rib flare' they call it. Try sitting up really straight and stretching arms above head. Very painful, but not harmful.

BUT - there is a weird condition which you can get during PG to do with your liver function which can cause similar pain, so I would get it checked out tomorrow if I were you - I ended up having liver function blood tests and they did a scan to check my gall bladder/pancreas etc. Plus BP checked. All turned out to be fine, but there was a lady on here about 2 months ago who's life and baby were saved when she had weird pains and someone told her to get it checked out because it could be the weird liver thing. So I would. Probably is completely harmless and nothing to worry about, but is better that you KNOW that IYSWIM?

I'd call MW tomorrow morning. If gets really bad tonight, trundle down to A&E.

i have high bp in pregnancy - consultant said to beware of pain round the ribs (though more like a rubber band all the way around iyswim).

get it checked out.

It's not constant but it's there more than its not. When it is there it hurts to breathe. I don't seem to have anything else wrong.

If it's still there in the morning I will phone the Doctors.

Thank you

I think I will give them a call when DP gets home. DS is being really bad so can't do it now.

Unexplained pain in pregnancy is worth checking out. You will only worry otherwise.

If you get breathless you must go to A&E.
