My advice is stop testing.

You know you're pregnant, further tests add nothing more.

In the kindest possible way, whether this pregnancy is progressing as it should or not, whether it ends successfully or not, is completely out of your control. Obsessively worrying, stressing and testing will do more harm than good.

Try and focus on other things, anything to keep your mind occupied.

Chloeking · 01/09/2024 19:19

Thanks for the advice but I have been told to carry on testing, was just wanting people options and experiences they have had.

I could see the line in your first pic!!!
congratulations 🥰❤️ your line has gotten obviously stronger so just try to chill now and relax now until your doctors appointment to confirm x congrats x

Chloeking · 01/09/2024 19:22

I knew I could too… thanks so much I will try to relax and just keep everything crossed.
really appreciate the positive message 🥰

Your test progression looks great to me! HCG doubles every 48 hours so as long as you can see progression over that time period I wouldn't worry. Your tests between 15 & 17 DPO are very obviously progressing! But also remember that whilst pregnancy tests do get darker with more HCG, they aren't designed to be used in this way, so it isn't a perfect science and there may be anomalies in what you would like/expect to see.

Also, when you took the early tests your HCG would have been really low, and double a really low number is still a really low number, so don't put too much thought into the line progression of the first few tests!

Tiredofthewhirring · 01/09/2024 19:27

Those lines are definitely progressing.

Chloeking · 01/09/2024 19:28

Really good advice thank you!!
would you advise stopping here and just waiting on my appoitment or is it a good idea to test every 48hours

I wouldn't bother testing anymore now, it won't really give you any useful information because the tests are only designed to give a yes or no result.

FinallyYouSaid · 01/09/2024 20:00

You've been told to carry on testing op? By who and for what possible reason?

pinkducky · 01/09/2024 20:24

Honestly I tested until I got a dye stealer and then stopped. I'd had a loss before and testing gave me reassurance (until it didn't! I convinced myself I was going to miscarry twice because my lines didn't progress as I'd expected).

I'd just say if you do continue to test, do it with a pinch of salt. Unless the line suddenly becomes very faint and you are bleeding, there's no reason to panic.

Hopefull441980 · 01/09/2024 22:49

Hi 😘 I will always advise to keep testing as this happened to me and I ignored advise of people telling me to stop. Seeing the tests fade when I was due to miscarry helped me prepare for it mentally and physically. If I had have stopped testing I’d have been unaware I was about to miscarry.
your line progression looks good to me. I’d keep testing just until you’ve seen your gp. 😘

Chloeking · 02/09/2024 09:58

Thank you that’s how I feel, I have so much doubt this time around but my lines are getting stronger everyday so I’ve got to stay positive thank you for your advise:)
