Hi, I need some help as going out of my mind . It’s my second pregnancy , but took us along time to make it happen .
now at 5 weeks I’m getting brown discharge as you can see in the picture . I am using cyclogest pessary twice a day , could it be this or is it the start of a miscarriage?

I had brown spotting at 5-6 weeks pregnant. It really panicked me so I phoned EPU who organised a scan for when I turned 6 weeks.
They reassured me that brown spotting can be completely normal but if it turns to red, turns a lot heavier or is accompanied by intense pain then I should phone them back.
The brown spotting lasted a week and some days was heavier than others. The 6 week scan confirmed baby was okay.
I then had bleeding from 7-9 weeks but another scan showed my baby was okay.

There was no reason for my spotting or bleeding but I now have a healthy 5 month old.

Have you had sex lately as it could be an irritated cervix.
I would phone your local EPU to give yourself some reassurance and then, easier said than done, keep yourself busy as you’ll only worry yourself more with googling etc.

🤞🤞 for you

I had this from week 4 to 5... I'm just over 5 weeks now and all seems ok, never had spotting before in my other pregnancies. Put it down to implantation.
But yours could also be the pessaries, I had these before they irritate your cervix, I started doing them anally instead, in the end I came off them because they were making me super ill. Speak to epu see if they would do a 6 week scan? If not then maybe go private?

This is exactly what my discharged looked like on Cyclogest pessaries. Turns out they were irritating my cervix so I had to insert them rectally. Please don’t worry, honestly mine looked exactly like that xx

I've had brown spotting at 5ish weeks in both my pregnancies. First pregnancy is now a 2 year old, and I'm nearly 16 weeks with the second pregnancy, all going well and no further bleeding x

Thanks for all your messages , yesterday I had some blood dark. I went to hospital , and they confirmed hcg was 4000 and the sac was the right size , however it’s attached slightly lower than normal , and there was blood in my womb , the blood could absorb, but as I’ve attached slightly lower she thinks ill have a miscarriage .
my cervix was still closed . I have to go back tomorrow for more bloods and another scan next week .

xx

Hello, sorry to ask but what was your outcome from this as I’m having the same discharge and I’m on cyclogest twice a day as well. I had two miscarriages last year so I’m worried
